How Popcorn Pops
Intro/Beginning
This informative talk is about how and why piquant popcorn pops.
Middle
Hard Shell/Hull
The popcorn kernel is not the corn you would usually eat on Christmas, but a different type of corn species. The popcorn shell is called a hull.
Popping Bit
Inside the hull, steam gathers inside, where the steam gets bigger and bigger. The steam will stay inside the hull until it can no longer handle the pressure and then POP. The steam SHOOTS out of the kernel and then it turns into the yummy popcorn we all know and cherish.
Inside The Hull
Inside the hull, there are many things to discover. The white stuff inside the popcorn kernel is actually starch. That bit is also called the endosperm. It is the seeds fuel. Beneath that is the germ where it feeds on the endosperm. So that is how it will grow into a plant.
End/Conclusion
Popcorn is basically steam rushing out where it pops and grows into popcorn. When it pops it is the sound of steam shooting out of the kernel. Next time, before you eat popcorn, study how all of the science works.
